So this is the photograph I mentioned last night in regards to Tim being happy enough to be approached by fans during his ‘real life’. Basically - the website with the encounter story has long since been deleted (even wayback machine is no help) - so I can’t paste you the specific story.
However it went something like this:
Guy is at an outdoor Halloween showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Santa Monica Boulevard (West Hollywood’s Gay Strip) - all of a sudden completely out of the blue and unbeknownst to most of the crowd - guy spots a slightly tipsy Tim Curry walking out from just behind where the screen is and asks him if his friend can have a picture with him. Tim replied ‘She can, but SHALL she?’ and posed quite willingly whilst pulling his best Frank N Furter face. Well. How. NICE.
The image of Tim Curry secretly hanging around outdoor screenings of Rocky Horror and being a drunken grammar enthusiast is one of my favouritist things ever.
