My fav part of this scene is when Cosmo (Richard O’Brien) randomly pulls a whip out of thin air!
I like the fact that there is an underlying cattiness with Nation and Janet. If you pay attention to RHPS, Magenta HATES Janet and Janet is terrified of her. I like to think that those feelings kind of linger but Janet has gained some self confidence and gets a little too into herself and even when Nation is complementing her there is still a little sarcasm tinge to it. Sorry, I’ll stop now.
Lullaby- Shock Treatment
The beginning to this song just gets me every time. Pat and Ritz are fantastic! I needed this for bedtime :)“I feel the heat from your skin and the stubble on you’re chin; you’re no good. You’ve got dirt on your hands and everybody understands; you’re no good.” *sigh*
”You need a bit of, Ooooh…Shock Treatment!”
I was wrong about “Shock Treatment.” It isn’t as bad as I originally thought it was when I watched it the first time. The second time around, I saw it not as the follow-up to Rocky Horror, but as a stand-alone movie, and I really enjoyed it. Not the best movie, but pretty ok. The title song (aka this one) saved the whole movie for me.
One of the best O’Brien songs!
You’re no good. You’ve got dirt on your hands and everybody understands your no good. Mmm…you’re no good. Oh, what a joke. What a joke. You feel like choking. You play for broke. You play for broke. He’ll leave you smoking. Oh, romance is not a childrens game. But you keep going back. It’s driving you insane…
